Magic brew for a long life in times of globalization: perfect balance between nutrition, physical activity and lifestyle.
Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of premature death in industrialized countries, accounting for 30% of all deaths worldwide. This public health problem requires priority attention. It has been observed that lifestyle, in particular following a healthy dietary pattern such as the Mediterranean diet, can play a crucial role in the prevention of this disease, as well as in the management of associated risk factors such as diabetes, obesity, hypertension and dyslipidemia, among others. From clinical studies, randomized, large sample size, long-term intervention studies, we obtain results with the maximum objectivity. Therefore, the aim of our group is to find ways to prevent the onset of cardiovascular disease and associated risk factors such as diabetes, dyslipidemia, hypertension or obesity.
