Maternal milk from infected and vaccinated women against coronavirus contains antibodies in front of COVID-19.

Dr. Pérez Cano's team analyzed the presence of antibodies against SARS-Cov-2 infection in 75 lactating women who had received different vaccines: 30 with Pfizer's complete vaccination, 21 with Moderna's complete regimen and 24 with AstraZeneca's first dose. The work showed the presence of specific antibodies (IgA and IgG) in all the samples analyzed, but the levels and types of antibodies varied according to the vaccine received, as well as whether the mothers had been previously infected.
It should be noted that this is one of the first studies worldwide to compare the effects of three vaccines in breast milk.
