On January 21, 2022, the INSA-UB researchers, Dr. Anallely López Yerena (Research Group "Natural Antioxidants"), and Dr. Nicole Hidalgo Liberona (Research Group "Biomarkers and Nutritional Metabolomics of Food") have received the CCNIEC 2021 prize for the best doctoral thesis awarded by the Catalan Center of Nutrition - Institute of Catalan Studies (CCNIEC).

Dr. López Yerena has presented the thesis "HEALTH-PROMOTING PHENOLIC COMPOUNDS IN EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL: AN INTEGRATED STUDY OF THEIR CONCENTRATION AND BIOAVAILABILITY", while Dra. Hidalgo Liberona presented the thesis "EFFECT OF GLOBAL DIET QUALITY ON THE AGING PROCESS USING DIFFERENT STRATEGIES FOR EVALUATING DIETARY EXPOSURE IN AN OLDER POPULATION".
